Sensation Tour of Kings Cross from 18th Century to Today.

Date: Saturday 1st July 2023

Edward Richards, a Deaf qualified Camden Guide Association member will lead a BSL tour of Kings Cross at 11am. He is Usher and deafblind aware and will make the tour fully accessible for you all!.

We will explore the high and lows of the last 200 years of the Kings Cross area. The arrival of Eurostar terminal at St Pancras and the investment in infrastructure for the 2012 Olympics saw the change in the area that has a fascinating microcosm of Britain’s industrial past.

The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours – please wear suitable footwear and clothing. Please do not bring any valuables.

The tour will cost £15 per person. Payment is not required for communicator guides supporting Ushers/ deafblind people. The tour has a maximum limit of 15 people excluding their communication guides.

(Families & friends of Ushers are welcome, they need to book their place as well.)

If the morning tour, starting 11am, is fully booked, another tour, starting 3pm, will take place..

Fancy a catch up before the tour? Let’s meet at the Pret A Manger inside the Kings Cross station!
– 10am for breakfast catch-up before 11am tour.
– 3pm for lunch catch-up before, if 3pm tour will take place.

After the tour we will socialise until late at a well-lit pub called the Parcel Yard pub in Kings Cross rail station.

(Note – food & drinks at the Pret A Manger and the Parcel Yard will be at your own cost.)

To book your place, please email desufuk@yahoo.com and we will provide bank account details for payment by bank transfer.

Note: once the payment is received, your booking will be confirmed.

Deadline for confirmed bookings: 10th June 2013.

if we can’t get 12-15 places filled by 10th June, don’t worry! You will receive a refund in full. Then the tour might be rescheduled to another date.

See you there and we’ll have a good fun!”
